This compact USB 2.0 Type-A smart card reader enables secure and reliable digital identification, as well as the hassle-free handling of online banking transactions and tax returns from the comfort of your own home. Thanks to comprehensive support for ISO/IEC 7816 standards (Classes A, B and C for 5 V, 3 V and 1.8 V cards), the device is extremely versatile for use in e-commerce and smart card applications. The modern CCID and PC/SC architecture guarantees driver-free plug-and-play operation on Windows and Mac OS. Integrated short-circuit protection safeguards the hardware, whilst a generous 1.5-metre connection cable offers maximum flexibility when positioning the device on your desk.
